an Cemetery Road, Canton, Georgia 30114.Paul joined the Nuclear Regulatory Commission as a Reactor Inspector in the NRC Region I Office. The scope of his inspection responsibilities included Initial Criticality, Power Operations, and Conduct of Operations. Paul transferred to Region II and worked in the Division of Reactor Projects and the Division of Reactor Safety. He directed their first Operational Quality Assurance Inspections. He also directed the hiring of NRC resident inspectors. As Section Chief for Operational Programs and Tennessee Valley Authority Projects, Paul was in charge of inspection activities at the TVA nuclear plants.
Paul left the NRC to become the Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operations Officer of Aloette Cosmetics located in Roswell, GA. There he used the knowledge and skills he obtained from his M.B.A degree from Georgia State University to grow the company from its initial formation to $800,000 in monthly sales.
In 1987, Paul returned to the NRC to complete his civil service career. He held several positions including Senior Reactor Inspector, Senior Project Manager and Branch Chief. Upon his retirement from the NRC in 1998, Paul became an independent nuclear safety consultant.
He is survived by BJ, three children and four grandchildren.
