Navy Midshipmen play Southern Mississippi Golden Eagles for the first time Saturday, October 8, 2011, at Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium starting at 3:30 p.m.
The Mids head into the game ranked fourth nationally in rushing offense and are ready for a rebound after the disappointing loss to Air Force last week. On the other side, the Golden Eagles’ QB Austin Davis is the most prolific QB in school’s history. After 36 games as the starter, Davis has broken every career school passing record such as most career touchdowns; and, he has broken Brett Farve career passing yards.
