CBS Sports Network is celebrating Navy football with NAVY’S GREATEST GAMES, a five-episode series highlighting the greatest and most exciting moments in Navy football history.
Beginning Wed Oct 5 (7:30 EDT) and continuing every Wed through Nov 2, the series recaps Navy’s most memorable seasons and games. Fans will be able to re-live classic moments in Navy football history, including:
- Heisman Trophy winner Joe Bellino leading Navy to their first everOrangeBowl appearance in 1960.
- Dallas’s own, Heisman Trophy winner Roger Staubach leading the No. 2-ranked Midshipmen to the Cotton Bowl against No. 1-ranked Texas in 1963.
- All-American Napolean McCallum rushing for 217 yards on 41 carries to lead Navy past Army, 17-7 in 1985.
- The 2005 Navy-Air Force game, which Navy won 27-24 on a last second field goal by Joey Bullen.
