ESPN's SportsCenter To Broadcast Live From The Naval Academy On Friday

Navy's Ken Niumatalolo will be on SportsCenter Friday at 2 PM

The Naval Academy is pleased to host ESPN on Friday, November 8 for the network’s annual SportsCenter Veterans Day broadcast tribute.
The SportsCenter program will include live interviews with USNA leaders, taped features of midshipmen in various activities throughout the Yard, and live broadcasts of noon meal formation and noon meal in King Hall. This national broadcast provides a great opportunity for USNA to showcase to the American public the importance of our mission and the excellence of the Brigade, faculty and staff.
ESPN will locate its broadcast set in T-Court. The SportsCenter anchors are Hannah Storm and Kevin Negandi. SportsCenter programming will begin Friday at 9:00 AM and run through 7:30 PM (ET), and will include approximately two live broadcasts every hour from the USNA set.
The Commandant’s Staff will coordinate the attendance of midshipmen, but they are not authorized to miss class to visit the set. The following broadcast schedule is provided for your information. A full broadcast schedule will be available later this week so that you know when to tune-in to catch all of the taped segments, too.

October Luncheon – Speaker: Brian Bohannon, Head Football Coach at Kennesaw State

The next luncheon is scheduled for  this Friday, October 18th.  The Guest Speaker will be Brian Bohannon, Head Football Coach at Kennesaw State.  The topic will be: Building Successful Teams.  The venue will be McCrays in Smyrna.
If the name is familiar, he formerly coached with Ken Niumatalolo and Paul Johnson at Navy. Here’s what is being said about Brian:

Brian Bohannon

“Kennesaw State and Mr. Vaughn Williams hired the right man to lead and to build their football program. Brian Bohannon is as good of a football coach as there is in the country. He is a masterful teacher, a relentless recruiter and is a person of unquestionable character and integrity. Having played football at the University of Georgia and coaching at Georgia Southern, and Georgia Tech he obviously has deep roots in the state of Georgia. There is no doubt in my mind that Brian will be a very successful head coach.” – Navy head coach Ken Niumatalolo

“I am happy for Brian that he has an opportunity to be a head coach and to start up a new program. He will be a great representative of Kennesaw State, he will work extremely hard and he will be successful.” – Georgia Tech head coach Paul Johnson

“I commend Athletic Director Vaughn Williams for a superb choice among some top candidates for the Head Football Coach at Kennesaw State University. Brian Bohannon has an excellent background in the state of Georgia both as a player and coach at the University of Georgia, Georgia Southern and Georgia Tech. I know President Dan Papp highly approves of an individual with such a strong character background who will be a great ambassador for Kennesaw State University. I look forward to him leading this new and exciting program.” – Legendary Head Football Coach Vince Dooley
