Dr. Barbara A. Bailey, Ph.D, will speak at the Atlanta Chapter’s September Luncheon on Friday, September 21, 2012, at 11:30 a.m.

Dr. Bailey is an Executive Board Member, The Healing Bridge Foundation (The Foundation), based inAtlanta. The Foundation focuses on the development and operation of innovative multi-generational communities for those persons who need daily support and interaction to live or re-build a quality life. Specifically, The Foundation’s vision and strategic plan is to develop and operate multi-generational communities comprised of senior citizens (veterans or veterans’ widows-widowers) and younger female and male veterans who have medical and behavioral challenges that put them at risk for homelessness and a loss of self-sufficiency.  The first multi-phased community eventually will contain transitional and permanent assisted housing, a medically supervised wellness center, community-gathering areas, and access to many support services and organizations in the surrounding counties, including local colleges and universities for development of career options, job skills, and lifelong enrichment.
The USNAAAA Chapter’s Monthly luncheon starts at 11:30 a.m., at Sheraton Suites Galleria –Atlanta, 2844   Cobb Pkwy, Atlanta, GA. Cost is $20 for chapter members / $25 for non-members.
