New USNA Alumni Center and Headquarters Building Planned for the Academy Grounds

A strategic objective of Naval Academy Strategic Plan 2020 is to “provide a facility (an Alumni Center and Headquarters Building) that enables the Naval Academy Alumni Association and Naval Academy Foundation, to co-locate on the Academy grounds and that enhances the ongoing relationship between the Academy and the Alumni Association and Foundation.”
Additionally, Alumni Association Plan 2020 outlines a requirement of a modern, low maintenance facility for operations to support the Academy and its alumni.
An ad hoc committee has been formed of representatives from both the Alumni Association Board of Trustees and Foundation Board of Directors as well as others who will help to facilitate and support this effort. This is a long-term project that requires coordination with the Navy, the Naval Academy, the Alumni Association and Foundation, and—ultimately—our alumni, donors and friends.
The Navy is in the very early stages of New Alumni Center and Headquarters Building of which the first step, an environmental assessment, is being conducted by Naval Facilities Engineering Command Washington.
