Eddie Meyers, Regional President, PNC Bank, Georgia and USNA '82

cs3_7838_ppuse-this-oneEddie Meyers is president of Georgia for PNC Bank and U.S. Naval Academy Class of 1982. PNC is one of the largest diversified financial services companies in the United States, providing corporate and commercial financing; retail and business banking; residential mortgage banking; investment banking; specialized services for government entities; wealth management and asset management.
Meyers joined PNC in 1999 and as an Executive Vice President reporting to the Senior Vice Chairman, Meyers worked closely with Harris Williams on Investment Banking and Leverage Finance Transactions, established the Non-Interest Income Portfolio for Asset Based Lending Group and helped to facilitate the successful integration of National City after its acquisition by PNC in 2009.
Meyers started his career as an auditor and portfolio manager with Continental Bank in Chicago. He later joined Transamerica Business Credit in Atlanta as portfolio manager and underwriter before serving as senior underwriter at NationsBank. His sales career began with Princeton Capital.
While a Midshipman at the Naval Academy, Meyers was an All-American in football, wrestling and ran track as well. In the 1980s, he played football for the Atlanta Falcons and is a member of the Atlanta Chapter of NFL Players Association. Meyers serves as an Executive board member of the Metro Atlanta Chamber of Commerce, Executive Board member for the Central Atlanta Progress and a member of the Atlanta Rotary Club. Meyers also serves on the Board of Directors of the Carter Center, Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta Board of Trustees and Woodruff Arts Center Board of Trustees.
In 2013 Meyers was named by Atlanta Tribune Magazine as one of its Men of Distinction and also received the James Costen Award for Excellence in Business from the Inter-Denominational Theological Center. Meyers was named one of Savoy Magazines Top 100 Most Influential Blacks in Corporate America in their Spring 2014 edition. In 2015, Meyers received the Power Player of the Year Award from the National Black & Latino Council as well as being named a Paul Harris Fellow by The Rotary Foundation of Rotary International.
Meyers was recently featured in the 16th Edition of the Who’s Who in Black Atlanta launched in February 2016.
A Graduate of the United States Naval Academy, Meyers also holds an MBA in finance from National University. Atlanta has been his primary home since 1990.
